Hello Moorhead or Grantsburg, Wisconsin. Three sisters traveled on different occasions to America by ship (Tasso) in the middel and late 1880s. Their names were Serianne, Ingeborg and Marie Ottersen Holtet, and they were from Bardu (Salangsdalen) in Northern Norway. Greetings, Einar. Have you looked for them in the 1900 US Census? I am in Wisconsin, and have access to some of it (it is not yet online as yours is, sadly). If you know what county in Wisconsin they lived in, that would help a lot. If they are from a county that I can get to the films for, I will be happy to look in the index. Dave Hinz Helenville, Wisconsin n.b. Are you sure they were not here in 1880? That would be easier. Could someone in their family have come before 1880? If so, who are they? The digitalarkivet site has a listing of Norwegians in Wisconsin in 1880, which might tell me which county to look in the index.
