    3. You expect every vital record to be on the LDS website? or maybe it's your spelling giving you problems... would be far too easy a preoccupation if everything was on one website.... only a fraction of records are on this site. Try checking the records out yourself, or hire a researcher. Andy. 2. Pat Sprague
    3. I found my ggrandfather's birth/baptismal records in Nederluleä, Sweden. The records are very hard to read but I believe he was illegimate. I have two questions. I can read "Skon" or "Ikon" after his mother's name which appears to be Lisa Johanna Carlsdatter. Does anyone know the meaning of this word, is it a name? I ask that because on his marriage license in Nebraska he listed his father's first name as "Skon". I thought that was an error but now I am unsure. Second question the column on the far right has "Stuksen" "confnd". Any ideas on the meaning? Thanks in advance. Pat

    3. Hello Gen-Nordic List; To those of you in Norway, or have friends in Norway, we are very excited about one of your artists. His name is Tom Bråthen and has a CD out there and doing very well. On a station on the eastern part of Norway, his record is number 1. The name of the song is YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE A HOME and it was recorded right here outside of Nashville, Tennessee. I understand there is some kind of voting process in rating records or artists over there that the general public participates in. If you haven't heard his recording, I'll bet a call to your local radio station will get it played for you. We here where he recorded are eager to know what people in Norway think of Tom and of the song. Karen Kennedy geneken@usit.net

    3. Hello Listers I am new to Nordic research and am in need of advice. I have located the six unmarried sisters of my friend's grandfather in Oslo in the 1900 census. How or where do I start to trace their marriages and descendants since that time? We do know that they , or some of their descendants were alive there in the 1950's, but we don't know their names or whereabouts in Oslo. Any advice would be much appreciated John in Sydney Australia

    1. Hjälp! Dansk mormors morfar...
    2. Malin Warnqvist Rimby
    3. Hej! (Short in English at the end...) :-) Short in English: ----------------- I'm looking for mu g-g-grandfather who was born in Schlesvig, Denmark 1846-11-11 - called Johan Andreas Pålsson (Poulsen as Dane?). He married Kristina Johannesdotter from Kalvsvik, Sweden in 1871 and they got two daughters in Denmark, before moving to Vislanda, Sweden in 1875. The daughters are Margreth Magdalene and Johanne Emerense. The parish in Denmark they left is called "Älso" according to Swedish church records. I wonder if someone might have stumbled over them or knows how to find them in an "easy" way... /Malin -- |\ _,,,---,,__ /,`.-'`' -. ;--;;,__ |,4- ) )-,_..;\ ( `'--' -----------'---''(_/--'--`-'\_)------------------ | Malin Warnqvist Rimby | | malin.warnqvist.rimby@era.ericsson.se | -------------------------------------------------
