According to the local history from the municipality of Stor-Elvdalen in Norway, did a brother of my great great grandmother emigrate to Finland. I do not know anything about where or when, but his name was Helge Torgalsen Stai and he was born in 1856. Has anyone heard about him, or may anyone give me a clue about where to start. On the mormon site I found a Jacob Jachtman (Jackman) married to Beate (no surname). They had at least 2 children: Catharina Christina, ~11-09-1814 Pyhajoki, Oulo, Finland and Jacob, born in the same place on 29-06-1817 . 1.Does anyone know about anything about this family? 2. (But I think it is the same family, though). 1865: Hanne Elisabeth, b. 1862, Marie, b. 1864. 1875: Marie Elisabet, b. 1863. I would assume that means Karen Stine (two first names) born with surname Steen. (f. = født = born). Then in the digital list her husband's surname is added. She is Karen Stine Listad (born Steen).

It might be in the middle of Norway. Today it's called Stjørdal (o with slash), and I have seen it written Stordahl, Stordal, Stordalen etc There are two Ole Siverts., age 18, in Stjørdal in the 1865 census. My grandfather emigrated to Australia in the late 1920s and I am looking for relatives still in Estonia. Johannes KRIESENTHAL departed Tallinn (I believe) around 28 May 1927. He was born in Narva 17 Oct 1892 to Jaan Kriesenthal and his wife Elizabeth (I believe). Johannes had a sister Adele, a brother Alexander, I believe moved to Russia pre 1920 and another sister.
