Hi all, I am trying to trace the above surname, thanks to some wonderful help in the past from this ng we have been abnle to determine that the name is more likely to be of Swedish origin rather than Norwegain as we thought. Does anyone know of a site (if one exists even) where I can type in a variant of the name to see what it sounds like in swedish / norwegian? The reason I ask is that we have 2 prime names that seem most likey and were wondering what each would sound like to "british" ears to see if when entering the UK an official misheard the name and therefore wrote it down wrongly. Longshot I know, and if anyone thinks I'm going down a pointlesss road then please let me know. Take care all, Marc Ollosson exile
