Peder Pedersen Fantenberg and Berith Larsdatter settled in Tommernes back in the early 1700's. They came from Harjedalen, Sweden. This was extracted from Nordreisa Bygdebok by Emil Hansen. My great, great, great, great grandfather was Per who was their son. Anyone know how I can track them from there?

Would he by any chance happen to be a relative of Carl Bergström, born 13 Apr 1874 in Fremmestad, Sweden, married to Anna Emilia, born 19 Nov 1882 in Skällsjöfors ? They had a son Lars Ragnar Bergström, born 2 Okt 1914 in Lerum. He lived in Ludvika. regards, Per Nermo [email protected]
I have a number of ancestors with the surname ABERY. I have always assumed that the name was of English origin. However on the Ellis Island web site I noticed that there a quite a few ABERY'S from Sweden and Finland. Is there anyway to find out if it's really a Swedish/Finnish name? Thanks

Hej ! OBS !!! - Vv. ta bort NOSPAM i min e-postadress vid svar. Hälsningar Christer Hamré
I am looking for information on the ancestry of Adolph M. Christianson, born about 1877 to Christian Martin Christianson, mother unknown, near Brumunddal, Hedmark. The family emigrated to the US about 1882. Thanks much, John Reindl [email protected]
I'm looking for any and all available information on my great great great grandfather Carl Leonard Bergstrom. He was born sometime between 1820-1845 in Uddevalla, Sweden. Hi, Sorry for the longer post here, but was looking on the internet on my mother's side of the family and was able to find another familly tree that matched mine at a certain point in time. >From what I understand, Harald III made his way to England and was killed here in battle. One reason that I am interested in reading a translated version of this, is that I currently live in North Yorkshire, England and would like to visit Stanford Bridge. thank you Jeff Peterson http://www.charlamov.com/gen/lars.kat/sida0/h_____uo.htm Harald III Sigurdsson Hårdråde, född 1015 i Norge, död 1066 i Stanford Bridge, Yorkshire. Kung.

I now remember that you have told med about Lars before. I have got a map of Rush Creek valley where Lars was farming. Have you got any more exact information about where he was living (place name or LATITUDE/LONGITUDE reference). You may mail me any information about him. Knut

Seeking info or anyone who may be researching the following family. Anders Bohman married 30 August 1752 to Maria Christina Hodding in Stockholm, Sct. Maria Magdalena Kirk. Anders Bohman was christened 12 December 1723, Munsö Kyrka. Anything would be appreciated. Peter Bomann

Peder died at Teigen, Sandvik, and was obviously buried at the churchyard by the old church in Gaupne. By the way, who is your G-G-Grandfather: Peder (b.1840), Hans (b.1842), or Lars (b.1848)? Knut Bryn, Molde
Knut, Thank you for the info and good t hear from you again. I didn't know if folks from that era were normally buried at the church, family farm, or ? Lars ( b. 1848) would be my G-G-Grandfather. From what I understand, he is buried at the old West Prarie Hauge Lutheran Cemetery near Rush Creek in Crawford County. Jeff

It seems that noone in Norway uses the name Jaedig today. Searched the online index of names in Norway found at www.ssb.no, which gave back the result that less than three persons use this name. Then I searched the online phone directory found at www.gulesider.no and they came back with the result that noone is currently listed using the surname Jaedig. -- mvh. Morten Sylte

Someone who looks an awful lot like Jeff <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > In going through the following, I would like to find out what "Døpt" > means. Is this a birth date or something else such as christening? Hi, Jeff. Here's a page done by one of the frequent posters here, which may be of use to you in cases like this. http://home.online.no/~otjoerge/files/word.htm Lots of good information; not just direct translations, but word endings, and so on. Hope this helps, Dave Hinz

As I will be traveling to Luster, Norway this summer, I was hoping to see what other informatoin that I could find. I am also interested in what sources that I may be able to use while in Luster. thanks for the assistance Jeff Peterson -------- Peder Pederson Teigen Yrke: Kårmann på Teigen under Sandvik, Luster Født: 1809 Dulsviki under Lingjerde Døpt: 03.12.1809 Aurland Død: 07.03.1885 Teigen under Sanvik, Luster -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I familie med Christenca Torbjørnsdatter (1813 - 1883) Vielse: 30.06.1839 Hafslo -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notater De fikk ni barn.
