You should be able to crop the screen shot before you put it in the Word document. I rarely use Paint, but I took a screen shot of some elephants to find what to do: on the top toolbar in paint you should see crop, resize. rotate. I clicked on resize and then with the mouse at the upper left hand corner of what I want to keep, I pull down to the lower right hand corner and select what I want to keep and then click crop. Then I saved it to the desktop. Then I would open Word (I use WordPerfect, so I'm heading into unknown territory) and insert the newly saved picture/clipping from the desktop into the document. I'm sure you can resize it once it's in your document, by clicking on it (in WP that makes a box) and pulling on the corner handles. Does this make sense? Does it work? Connie Finally, with Word '07 documents, I select the text and change both font and font size with no problem; however, with the screen shot of the obit, Word will not permit me to select the item. Please explain how to do that as well.
