I am hoping someone can help me out. I have a Family file which I believe is FTM V4. I am looking for someone who might be able to open it up for me. I had forgotten about having it as it is not really a direct family line for me. I recently found out it is a family line of my uncles wife who would very much like to see it. The gentleman who gave it to me is now deceased. I will be willing to pay reasonable cost to have this done. Any ideas?? Thanks Paula
Paula, I have a copy of Family Tree Maker 4.4 but I don't think it will go on Vista? If one of the tech people on the list will tell me if it would work, I would install and open it. Of course I don't know how to get it to save in a newer version of a Gedcom. Vista is temperamental. Is there anyone that could walk me through it or have another solution? -- Sheri FamilyTwigs <http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~familytwigs/> TwigTalk <http://familytwigs.blogspot.com/> Indiana Trails To The Past <http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/%7Eintttp/> SA Jackson County <http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Einjacktp/>Trails To The Past
Vista will run old applications. It has 95/98 and XP compatibility mode. Just right click on the application, and choose the mode.
