    1. [GN] Chips, Cracks, Crevices, and Craters in Brick Walls

    3. Back in the dark ages of Gen-Newbie we would often post Happy Dances. Happy Dances were done when we started making even little chips in that proverbial brick wall. We came here when we just could not make a connection to ask for the help of other active members and even some lurkers who would send messages through our list mom or other members. Sometimes that help would be exact and sometimes it would be teaching. You have to learn to do it on your own eventually. One of my biggest brick walls and the search is not done is/was Titus Delaney. I have had help from several groups on dear old Titus and now he is listed as Titus Laney on my family tree. Titus might even qualify as a black sheep. He used several variations of both names through time and seems to have died between 1860 and 1870 but can not find a grave. He also moved often so that also presented problems. I continue the search for more information but I now have his spouse and children so my gg grandmother was not to an unknown Delaney. Big brick wall stories are encouraging to newbies and newbies might want to see if others can help with their broken links.
