Can anyone give me an idea where to look for more information on Jacob and Margaret Reeb Schneider? I can not find any of them in the 1870 or 1880 census. Margaret was my great grandfather's Michael Reeb's sister. Information I have on Jacob Schneider/Snider/Snyder . He married Anna Barbara Edel Jacob SCHNEIDER and Anna Barbara EDEL were married on 19 Sep 1833 in Zutzendorf , Bas-Rhin, France. Anna Barbara EDEL, daughter of Johann EDEL and Margaretha SCHULTZ, was born on 21 Jul 1806 in Obermodern , Bas-Rhin, France. She died on 5 Mar 1836 at the age of 29 in Obermodern , Bas-Rhin, France. Joyce, have you tried hunting for the children. Their first names are unique enough that you might find the family that way. Try just using their first names, dob, and state where you last found them. Please try to remember to tell us where you have searched. YEs I have tried using just all the children's names as well as his second wife who was over 30 or more years younger than him. I have also tried all the variations in spelling of Schneider. NOTHING! I use Heritage Quest for the census.
