I did a search and came up with the following. Maybe one of these will help you. If you cannot click on the link, do a copy and paste to see if one of these has any helps for you. One answer for the old email programs. It might also work with Win7. http://email.about.com/od/outlooktips/qt/et_fix_links.htm Here is a Norton support answer, but I do not know if your antivirus is Norton, but there might be a clue there so you could check what this says. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.nsf/e2e4ce613b66167c88256d8e0076b032/c8d0a0cadee6477388256ea7006c69c9?OpenDocument&src=bar_sch_nam You might check your security settings. I use Firefox for my browser and Thunderbird for email, but I have IE9 and I have my security set for medium-high and my privacy set to medium. I do not know for sure if this has anything to do with accessing the URLs or not, but it is worth trying, if yours are different. Joy On 1/19/2012 8:45 AM, mack165@juno.com wrote: > . I just reinstalled IE9 and also downloaded GOOGLE CHROME, but my little ACER windows 7 netbook(aspire one 722) will still not access any website link. Should I uninstall GOOGLE CHROME since it didn't help?> Thanks, John(Napa, CA)
Thanks, Joy. Mack, remember that no answers usually mean no one is currently reading the list that has an answer. Give it some time. In the meantime, use Joy's suggestion and copy and paste. Do I understand correctly that links work in Firefox? Then why not set Firefox as your default browser and save worrying about IE9. I don't personally like Chrome and don't use it, but a lot of people do like it, and I think it offers Angry Bird which many want to use. I don't use Angry Bird either <big grin>. Elaine When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before. --Mae West (1892-1980) Hello Joy On Thursday, January 19, 2012, you wrote > I did a search and came up with the following. > Maybe one of these will > help you. Yes, I have no problem when I click on a blue link in Firefox. I had a problem doing the things I wanted in IE8, so switched to Firefox and decided to stay with it, so I have not really used IE9, even though it is on this computer.
