Ah, Neysa. . . you make my life so hard! Just when I had a good thing "figured out" you come up with that danged old logic! <G> Looks like I'll have to borrow one long enough to give it a real test! And it is way easier to read. Plus all the other features. Also easier to turn the pages!! I hadn't been paying close attention, as Kindle is not (yet) on my must-have list, but this weekend went to visit the g-kids (and their parents, of course). The eight and the ten year old (boys) got Kindle-fire for Christmas. Whew! Learning curve anyone? Thanks to the comments on this list, I was able to help a little bit (I was helping the Mom, not the kids) figure out the vagaries of "Kindle Owners Library" as well as accessing books through their public library, and the whole "cloud" thing. They have "amazon prime" so more books are free to "borrow." And maybe "keep" -- still unsure about some of that. I'm going to take all the additional information from these emails and post it to them for their use. No, they don't do genealogy, but they sure do read a lot of books! By the bye, the only thing I didn't like about the Kindle Fire is the weight. One of the reasons I'd like a Kindle is that it's easier to read than a large, fat, book. This was no great improvement. So, if I do get one, it'll be the more basic model. Too bad they don't make the basic model with a screen size like the Fire!
