    3. I had the older Kindle (about 3 years old, maybe) which I gave to my daughter and grandkids when I got the Fire. I think the Fire may have a different screen than my old one. My old eyes like it better. 3. Happy New Year to all! My husband and I BOTH received a Kindle for Christmas - so far I am just frustrated with mine and Hubby hasn't even opened the box, says he will when I learn to use mine. I have not found a "how to" yet, It is just a PLAIN Kindle. Any help will be appreciated. 3. Using the search term of Kindle help there were quite a few results. I clicked on this one, as you say you have a plain Kindle. http://kindle.s3.amazonaws.com/KindleUser%27sGuide.pdf If this is not the correct one, here is the site for all guides for other. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200317150 On 1/4/2012 9:25 AM, Anna Haller wrote: > Happy New Year to all! 3. Anna, subscribe to the Kindle group at yahoo. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kindlekorner/ Everything is discussed there, all models of Kindle and all books and problems associated with Kindle. We even discuss other devices at times. Kindles contain manuals on the actual Kindle. Take a look at your contents. Which models did you receive? I have the Kindle third generation and the Kindle Touch with ads, I also can read Kindle on my iPad and my iPhone and iPod Touch. I haven't installed the Kindle program but think my Galaxy Tablet also would accommodate Kindle books. I have over 1500 books and plan to read all of them, most were free. Elaine I was always taught to respect my elders and I've now reached the age when I don't have anybody to respect. --George Burns Hello Anna On Wednesday, January 4, 2012, you wrote > Happy New Year to all! 3. I am thinking of starting a group or blog for ereaders/books. If anyone has any suggestions on how to go about this let me know and you could do this off list. marilyneb@gmail.com Marilyn On Wed, Jan 4, 2012 at 1:02 PM, ETM <etm1935@gmail.com> wrote: > Anna, subscribe to the Kindle group at yahoo. > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kindlekorner/ > >

    3. If I can get it set up and Elaine approves, I plan to do that. I have asked for help from another list to get this started. By the way I had planned to work on genealogy today.
