    3. I recently installed the Kindle Reader on my laptop and I am enjoying being able to have a book when I have run out of books on hand. I must say the ereader from Kindle was easy to download and use. I have several books waiting to be read. It was wonderful to find that many of the older books are free. I have been going back and revisiting old friends. Some are just as good as they were many years ago. Others seem to drag and do not move at the fast pace I find in today's novels. I took a trial membership in Amazon Prime to see if I could take advantage of the extra free books you can receive with a membership in Prime. I was disappointed that these free books will only download to a Kindle. I have wondered how many books you can have downloaded at one time and how to delete the ones you no longer want. I may try to get books from my library in the next few days as they have a good selection of recent books available. * *I have delayed doing this due to the fact I have an addiction to reading and once I start a book the world around me fades far away. Happy New Year. 3. I use Kindle for PC as my main bookshelf, but I don't often read on the laptop unless I am waiting for something to arrive in email and read while waiting. I prefer the eReaders for reading. I have the Kindles (3 and Touch) and Nook (original, Touch and Color which can be rooted with a micro card to change it into a tablet), a Galaxy Tab 7, and a Sony original and Touch, they are all loaded with different books and always charged. I tend to read bios, true stories, cozy mysteries and have recently discovered time travelers and other paranormal, and I actually do enjoy steampunk. The reason I found these additional genre is because of the eReaders and free or dollar books. I would never have discovered them in a brick and mortar book store. Currently I am listening to the audiobook bio by Isaacson of Steve Jobs, reading the second in the Outlander series, and reading The Last Boy about Mickey Mantle. I read two Christmas related novels during Christmas week. I have an iPad 1, have decided to spend no more money until the iPad 3 is out. I will skip the second generation, but will be very interested in what the third generation will offer. I do love the eReaders and like the tablets just okay. I prefer the laptop to a tablet. I do stream movies and TV shows on the tablets and that gives them a reason for being. I like watching movies on a tablet when I am in the recliner. Nicer that the big TV. I don't text, but I do use email on my iPhone and iPod Touch. I rarely think of the tablets for that purpose. Elaine
