Hi. I just uninstalled AVAST and installed AVG 2013 free. I cannot find if it has a quick scan like AVAST has. Does anyone who uses AVG free know?? When you installed AVG 2013, it should have put an icon on your task bar, or on the hidden tasks at the right bottom of the screen -- or you might have an icon for it on your desktop. Click on one, then on Options at the top right. There you can find the different scans that can be done. Full computer scan, what files you want scanned, or what folders you want scanned. I have not looked at all the options, as I THINK that when I updated to this version, it took my old settings.
