George, I think what I've got is Win7 - I've had this computer for at least 2 years, maybe more. It's an "Asus"... I'm not over fond of it, but it still works, so I'm not gonna replace it. (I wrote in to HP help, and got a list of things I could do at least 2 "pages" long! Most of which I didn't understand at all. I plan to forward that list to my tech at my provider - my local phone company. She's pretty good maybe she can make sense of his list! As far as the printer goes: the on button is lit- It tells me it's printing (not doing it, though)& the "touchsmart" screen on the printer lites up, and I can move the option icons on the touchscreen. So, that would indicate to me, that it's getting power... (I assume that if it wasn't getting power, NOTHING would work...) I have been having some problems with my internet, too. I click on something on Google's list... and not one thing happens... OOOOF-DAH!!! I didn't intend this to get so long.... thanks for allowing me to do a bit of venting. Thanks!
