On the basis of the recent emails about using SlimDriver to update drivers, I downloaded the program. Found 14 out-of-date drivers, which were updated. Installed as part of this program was FixCleaner . I use RegPro on a regular basis, as well as CCleaner and MalawareBytes. I don't see a need to use this FixCleaner as it appears to do the same thing as RegPro and others. Any comments on FixCleaner? Wanda
That must be a new addition, it wasn't on the version I downloaded. I wouldn't have a need for it as I am happy with CCleaner and Glary Utilities. We were warned about other software wanting to download when downloading Slimdriver and it appears that you must have clicked on the Fixcleaner which was a pop-up while the download was in progress and it had a prominent button to download now. It could be confusing as it appeared that one needed to click the button to get the Slimdriver but it was not necessary. It is a sneaky way to get you to use another program. I saw it and ignored it when I downloaded Slimdriver, but had I been a little sleepy I may well have downloaded it too. Okay, that explains it. I recommend uninstalling the entire business and then downloading and again installing SlimDriver. I ended up with an AVG browser page which is okay, I use AVG, but some will possible be startled by it. I saw it and didn't remove it because I wanted to see what it was. I use four startup pages on Chrome, now I have five <laughter>. Elaine If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain silent?
