Thanks to a reader! Elaine --------------------------- Loads of Troubleshooting Help From Microsoft, All In One Place If you're having a problem on your PC, you probably start by searching for the solution with Google. However, a better route (or something to try if Google isn't successful) might be to go straight to Microsoft's web site. The trouble, if course, is knowing where to start, and how to bypass the sales blurb and get straight to the useful info. But here's a good but not well known entry point. Choose the product you need help with, and the specific version of Windows if relevant, and you'll find a friendly menu of common problems and solutions. In many cases, you can even download a special fix file which will solve your problem with a single click. http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/loads-troubleshooting-help-microsoft-all-one-place.htm
G'Day Everyone I need some help PLEASE. I have a Acer Laptop using Vista. It has worked quite well for me till this crisis. I also used Norton's System 360. As my Norton's had reached its end of use by date. I switched to the paid AVG Internet Security & AVG PC Tune-up. It worked ok for a few days then it just slowed down, went blank on me wouldn't startup, you name it I had it Before loading AVG, I followed the instruction to the letter with deleting Norton's.When I deleted Norton's I had 29.5GB of memory. After 4 days of using AVG I now have 13.5GB of memory. Its so slow and sluggish. Last night, the computer just froze on me, had a hard time starting up again. This morning, I deleted all of AVG products, even went to regedit and got rid of all AVG there, also found some Nortons & Symantec files I deleted. Now, when I should have a clean computer, with only Microsoft Security Essentials protecting me. I still have no memory What can I do now? What security program can I use? Where has all my memory gone? Looking forward to some help PLEASE Annette Aksenov
I don't know what happened, but have you done a disk cleanup and a disk defrag? Both are found under -- Start All Programs Accessories System Tools Would not hurt to try, just in case. Good luck.
