    3. I want to know if anyone has used Spy Hunter or Malwarebytes and which is better. I let my grandkids on my computer and now I am trying to clean it up. I ran spy hunter and found 3031 problems and could not fix them because I had to pay. then I ran malwarebytes and it only found 551. Just wondering if I should pay for spyhunter. When I tried to unstall spyhunter it ask why and I said the price and they gave me a price of $10.00 instead of the $39.99 when I ran it. Just wondering if any one could help. One of the things I am trying to get rid of is search conduit. Thank you. Judy

    3. I googled Spy Hunter using the terms: [ Reviews scam "Spy Hunter" ] Lots of sites say it is a scam. See http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Spy-Hunter-Anti-Virus-Protection-/internet/SpyHunter-Anti-Virus-Internet-1085718 There are lots of scams like that. Some look very legit, such as one I used recently that claimed it was licensed by or part of Microsoft. It wasn't. It changed my default home page to something wierd and added all kinds of wild stuff. I found a web site that helped me remove the junk and get the computer back to normal. One of the tools prescribed to clean it out was free Malwarebytes. 3. MalwareBytes (free version) is what I've used for several years to clean up after my grandkids visit, It's always done the job for me. 3. For malware,, Use the free version of Malwarebytes,, Spy hunter is dubious at best and is also including stuff found in the registry most of which is always there. Every lil hiccup gets included...and has a very low rating for reliability and quality , , , , ditch it and stay as far away as possible....It really isn't effective at all and I would classify it as Scamware...
