    3. "Support for the Windows XP comes to an end this year, but Microsoft will continue to provide virus warnings until Summer 2015" The above is the subtitle of the article...... I figure it is better than nothing for those who have no choice except to continue using Win XP after April 2014 and wanted to make people aware of this much being available even if Windows Updates for XP won't be. This will be Microsoft Security Essentials which I use now on my Windows machines (use a Chromebook for my daily computing). Anyone still using less than SP3 on Win XP and planning to continue using XP should get all available updates including SP3 before Win Updates for Win XP stop in about a month from now. As for ads, I learned to ignore them a long time ago........ Cora > ------------------------------------------ > Woody wrote: > > I have XP and am concerned, so I looked at the link. 3. One thing user can do to help a bit, admittedly a small bit, is to use Chrome for a browser as much as possible,, Another thing to know about win8.1 which is the latest iteration, is MS sky drive is automatically turned on by default..Not bad mouthing it, but I sure don't want my data sitting on a MS server somewhere, especially now that the NSA has a backdoor to just about every ISP. Fortunately it can be turned of, but it is a pian in the butt to figure out how....Another thing is it is best to disable able it before you load anything,,, data /Program etc on the system..
