    3. I think members should not be so quick to judge Kathleen. The email is obviously spam, and appears to have come directly from the nomorack website. Which usually indicates that the email address used has an account there. The email appears to be from the nomorack website. Which made me curious. This is not like a normal hacking. I checked at nomorack and suzyqfl@gmail.com IS a registered user. That can only be done by someone who has direct access to the original email account used for the registration. Suzy, assuming that you had no knowledge of this, you now have two security issues... 1. Your email account is now well hacked. Your password needs securing. 2. There IS an account in your name at nomorack, using your email address. This needs removing, else the account can be used to send out more spam.

    3. To All List members: I haven't been on the computer much for well over a year & am really overwhelmed by what seems to have resulted from my attempt to get a little active again, instead of just Facebook. Again, I apologize for any problems or inconvenience this has caused. Kathleen: I was not judging you in any way. I sincerely apologize if anything I said came off that way. I also have to apologize for telling you it wasn't spam, it was hacking. I was wrong: it was indeed spam. Just the day before I had been advised by Google that I had suspicious activity on my account (a different gmail account), which they had blocked. It had come from Brazil. They advised me to change my password, which I did & ran scans on my computer. So maybe I was over-sensitive. That is not your problem & again, I apologize if anything I said came off as judging you. Les: it tickled me that you checked with the site itself & made me do the same thing. I honestly couldn't say I was or wasn't a registered user, as I've had this email account for a long time & it's certainly possible. You indicated that I am a registered user & I'm now the curious one. I went to the site & attempted to Log In, put in my email address & hit forgot password. It gave me a reset button (which is a terrible way to run a website, in my opinion) or to sign in with Facebook. I just left it at that. So, do I go back to the site, make up a password & then unsub, or what? I have changed my passwords & run every kind of scan I know of several times. I really don't know what else I can do & welcome any suggestions if anyone knows or can think of anything else to do. I am sincerely sorry. 3. Suzy, Use the reset button and reset the password. You will then at least be able to access the account and prevent anyone else using it. You may also be able to remove any details about you. I can't say if you would be able to cancel the account. If nomorerack is as bad as people suggest, then they probably don't allow closing accounts. I can say one thing for certain, nomorerack only allow a single instance of an email address to be registered, and your current email address is definitely registered there. So if you can access it, no-one else will be able to use the same email address again. I once had a similar problem. I could access an account, but I could not remove my email address. I could only change it to another. So, I created a temporary fictitious email address somewhere else (can't remember where), and change the email address to that.
