I will appreciate no laughter, please. I'm very frustrated, have googled my rump off and still cannot find an answer. PC is HP 6005 pro SFF > Win7Pro-32 bit. I _NEED_ the Eazy-eyes large type keyboard (you know, something other than tiny gray on black keys) and this bugger won't consider the swap. It worked part way through a message and quit. I shut down, restarted and could only get the hp invent screen, no message to click any key. Tried other keyboards but it will not accept them either. No big deal in XP - poof and done. It is networked and the mouse works great, either machine. How can I make this stinker accept a different keyboard. Any ideas? Please! Thanks much. Toni
A quick look around and I wasn't able to find a maker either, I might do some more looking in a bit. It is supposed to be plug and , so that being the case it is more than likely a faulty product. You don't mention whether or not it is wireless. Check your device list in control panel and see if it id there. Also try going to safe mode. People who have a need for them seem to like them, but many complain they don't last. But the ez eyes model is cheap. If you really need that feature it might be a better investment to look for another brand. Logitec/MS etc.. Oh, yes, George, I definitely need the high contrast.I have extremely low vision, when I see my keyboard, I only see black, I don't see individual keys. Sorry I forgot to mention it's not wireless. I should have just suspected the board was faulty, it's new so thought it would work. Silly me. I knew it was plug & play because it was a two-pack and installed like a charm on my XP. So I hauled out the other one and figured I was good to go. Went crazy. Did some looking as you suggested and am leaning toward the black text on white stickers. I can see those so much easier than the yellow - and if they come off, there's always Krazy glue. I'm sure I could install them without help - on a good day. lol Thank you, George, you always come through for us. Please know how much you are appreciated. I'm calm now. Oops, should have mentioned that I did try that and that's when it worked half-way through the message. Then died. If this happens to some other newbie at least it might give them a clue as to the problem. Thanks again.
