Let me jump in here and give a thought. Not all births were recorded. You will find some that are called "Delayed" and to get one like that there has to be a witness to the birth and make a statement to that info. In Oklahoma, we did not become a state until 1906 and even death record are not always recorded. Example: My paternal Grandmother died in 1925 (Father and Grandfather said) and her estate was settled and all the children signed their portion over to settle the estate, Now, she does have a headstone but she is not dead or ask least the Bureau of Records tells me that story.
