    3. FIrst off, IE9 isn't going to work very well with XP, if it works at all. It is not recommended, to much difference in the code between XP -vista/ win7) Second when you say freezing, what exactly are you trying to do? There is a lot of stuff going on with a few backbone providers especially with videos,,, They are cutting large users bandwidth ( net flix for one, netflix has just agreed to pay for direct access after they saw the impact on their users) . Keeping you cache clean( ccleaner ) is a good point,, How many tools bares you got hanging around on xp,,What AV program or malware programs are you using. AVG guard has a big impact even on newer machines on system performance.. CHEERS George & the sixpack.. -----Original Message----- From: doreen wheatley Sent: Tuesday, March 04, 2014 6:15 PM To: gen-newbie@rootsweb.com Subject: [GN] IE problem I am getting quite a lot of freezing with IE I am using IE8 I have XP home edition should I move up to IE9 or will that cause trouble with the o system I have Doreen ******************** Gen-Newbie's website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~newbie/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to GEN-NEWBIE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
