    3. There are a lot of known issues with IE and XP, plus it just isn't as secure as newer OS's. Variables between system configurations, hardware, and applications, speed of connections etc, all take there toll. Older systems in many cases are just not up to the task to run newer internet apps/or brpwsers..older websites took advantage of a lot of cross platform apps like java which seems no matter how much they update seems to always have another security issue. Without examining the failure log files and tracking down the cause( which could be more than one) it's hard to say what your exact problem is. Even than many times the fix is to move up to win7. However,, that being said the chrome browser seems to be able to handle a lot of these issues better for those who for whatever reason have chosen to stay with winxp. I will say although win xp was one of the better iterations of windows, it's well past time to move on. I'd say in your case to try out chrome for a browser until you decide to move on. cheers George & the Sixpack -----Original Message----- From: doreen wheatley Sent: Friday, March 07, 2014 5:32 AM To: gen-newbie@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GN] IE problem Yes Elaine I run ccleaner quite a lot will what happens at end of April Doreen ******************** Gen-Newbie's website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~newbie/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to GEN-NEWBIE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
