Doreen, I think there is Microsoft essentials on my old pc but I do not use it. I use AVG. I tried to look up the error but could not find any information about it. I do not want to do a restore as I am getting my info off of the pc . I got most off in back up but need to get my word doc. off. I use AVG and that seems to freeze my pc also. THe pc is too old to take to a shop etc. It is an old Dell dimension about 12 years old. I did find Microsoft essentials on my pc and I uninstalled it. It had not been used since 2011. Somehow my AVG icon disappeared from my bar below . I will have to try tomorrow to see if it will work alright.
