I have been thinking about it and I remember Keith telling us about the one on Amazon. That is the one I got, too. Also have a cell phone I can only talk on...when I can find it. Hubby has the same one. For emergencies only. <G> Neysa ----- Original Message ----- From: Maxine To: gen-newbie@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2011 11:02 AM Subject: Re: [GN] floppy drive A while back our Keith told us of a really good by on the portable floppy drive for about $12 from Amazon ( I think it was). I got one and it is GREAT. I still use them as well and when I had my computer built he did not have enough room left in the Asus tower to put one in. By the way...I have a cell phone that I can only talk on as well and have only done that to test it when I first got it. (BIG grin). I hate talking on a phone and it is for emergencies only. I have a little plastic case full of floppies that have never been used (34 of them). Oh wait, maybe one or two were for backups or something. I'm willing to send them off to one of you if you want them, I will clean them off first if they have anything on them, and check them for viability. We have one computer in the house that still has a floppy drive and hubby is talking about taking it out 'cause we don't use it. First one who emails me back gets them. Me, too, if anyone can use them. Somewhere here I have an unopened package, plus a partial package. Would love to see someone who can use them get them. I will ship, too.
