    3. Pam, I have Nuance's Dragon Natural Speaking v11. As I learn to use it, I am astonished at the fact it actually does type whatever it thinks it hears. I use Office '07 and use Dragon now and then for email, and always when a letter needs to be written. For me, there is a sharp learning curve as my southern accent does not always produce sounds with which Dragon is familiar although I have recorded, tested and recognized as having southern accent; hence, the learning curve is that of my becoming able to train Dragon to recognize my speech patterns. There are abundant aids to use of Dragon, a regular newsletter that does contain useful tips, a tutorial, and I seem to recall there is a workbook----not sure about the workbook, though, as my son uses an advanced version of Dragon, and he might have given me the workbook. The product is easy to learn to use unless one has a _different_ pattern of speech or pronounced regional accent. With practice, even those items can be overcome.
