Maybe Elaine will put us on open status soon but I am posting this in time to give all time to think about who each would invite to Thanksgiving Dinner from their family's past. This year my invitation would go to a man that is not actually family. I would invite Jefferson Dillard Goodpasture. He was the lawyer/judge who wrote my ggg grandfather's will. I spent much of yesterday evening reading his biography. Not only could he give me the will, details of his visit with Elijah when writing the will; but also so much history of the area where 75% of my ancestors lived for over 150 years. I might have to ask him to stay the weekend. Who and why would you want someone from the past to share your Thanksgiving?
