That depends on the book and where you get it from. There ARE free books that you can download and there are very inexpensive books that you can get also, Most books that you download are ususally cheaper than the printed books are (even the newest best sellers). You can try reading them using your computer (both Kindle and Nook have free programs for computers that you can try and see how it works without having to buy their readers). >I too know nothing about WiFi.
