I think for once I have found him. It is likely he did enlist in Nashville. The uncles in the Army are shown as enlisting at Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia. I need to see if I can find any information concerning the Dixie, as that may have been the ship that was either destroyed or damaged. I know grandma received an MIA telegram at least once. You are always so great about helping all of us with our searches.
