    3. In addition to the information below, I would recommend checking with your local libraries for information about what digital book formats they supports. My local library has a page listing the various devices for the different digital formats: e-pub, pdf, etc. I use a Kobo reader and am able to read anything that is in e-pub or pdf, from 3 different online digital libraries. I was surprised at the number of free books available for my genealogy research re: surname histories and immigration. If the ability to adjust the font size is important, I would not recommend downloading books in pdf format, as pdf has limited adjustment options on the Kobo. Happy searching!
