    3. Apparently Grimes County, Texas definitely was a part of Montgomery County at one time. Montgomery County Genealogical Society has an email address and might be of help to you. information@mcgandhs.com. I didn't see a phone number. If they don't have the information you need, they might be able to tell you where to find it.
