Hi Jean, You also may not need much to set it up at home. I gave my sister a wifi only Kindle for Christmas last year. She called Geek Squad and they set up wifi in her home because she had internet connection for her computer, it just wasn't wireless. The Geek Squad loved her Kindle and she loves not having to go to the library. I know others who use their libraries and I believe one uses his McDonald's. Here in Knoxville you will find wifi in many localities. Our new Kroger's store even has a few tables and chairs close to the entry that is for wifi users. I have also seen car service areas that advertise wifi for their customers. So keep your eyes open for wifi in all areas.
