Pam, I have seen no replies to your query so thought I would jump in and offer two possible places to search: www.familysearch.org and also take a look at the TX state archives to see if there exist marriage records for that time period. I am not a genealogical researcher but have been married to a lady who was for many years a pro historical/genealogical researcher, and she has suggested these two possible sources. As an after-thought: have you written to or called the Grimes courthouse; Grimes, if in fact, Grimes is the county? Good luck.     3. There is a Grimes County in Texas. Not too far from Houston. I am checking to see if they have records on line.
