    3. Hello Michael Neither America nor Canada kept their outbound ships passenger lists. That is why you are having trouble finding one from NY to England. However there are some England inbound lists available on Ancestry from1878-1960 It includes passengers on ships FROM Canada and USA TO England. Board of Trade’s passenger lists of ships arriving in the United Kingdom from foreign ports outside of Europe and the Mediterranean from 1878-1888 and 1890-1960. You should also check National Archives UK to see if they have any inbound passenger lists. For help using National Archives UK see http://www.olivetreegenealogy.blogspot.com/ and choose the topic NATIONAL ARCHIVES UNITED KINGDOM from the right side nav bar. You might also find reference to passengers in local newspapers. There is project to list outbound Ships Passenger lists<http://www.thegenealogyspot.com/ShipsLists-Online/outbound/index.shtml>from the actual ship papers given to passengers which you may want to check at http://www.thegenealogyspot.com/ShipsLists-Online/outbound/index.shtml Lorine On Thu, Oct 27, 2011 at 5:04 PM, Michael<micalar@btinternet.com> wrote: > > > I would like some help in regard to passengers leaving New York bound > > for England > > I have tried various sites but cannot find any straightforward list that > > details when someone > > left New York for England > > > -- ----- Lorine McGinnis Schulze Olive Tree Genealogy http://www.olivetreegenealogy.com olivetreegenealogy@gmail.com
