I am doing research on my grandfather Voigts sister Annie Voigts Freie Pruser in California. I found who I think is her second husband on the 1900 census, but on Heritage Quest the last couple of lines are to dark to read. Could some kind soul, who has Ancestry, please check the census for the following page and let me know for sure what it says if it is readable. Also, if you could send me a copy of the page if this is indeed William and Annie Pruser. When my computer crashed a couple of months ago I lost all of this info and am in the process of recreating some of my files. (I know, I should have backed up and indeed was in the process of doing that very thing when stuff went south on me). My new computer has a DVD burner and I WILL back up to a nice BIG DVD from now on. :-) 1900 > CALIFORNIA > SAN JOAQUIN > TULARE TWP Series: T623 Roll: 108 Page: 377 Thanks in advance for any and all help! Susan Here's the one you wanted: Dated 2 June 1900 William Pruser, 60, head, Jan 1840, 60, m five years, Germany, Germany, Germany, immi 1859, res 41 yrs, nat. farmer Anna Pruser, 63, wife, May 1837, 63, m/5, no children, Germany, Germany, Germany, immi 1857, res 43 Louisa Eggers, 15, serv, Aug 1885, 14, CA, Germany, Germany, house servant. August Eggers, 28, serv, 1862, 38, Germany, Germany, Germany, 1884, 16, Nat, Farm Labor (unclear as to marriage status) Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: Tulare, San Joaquin, California; Roll: T623_108; Page: 25A; Enumeration District: 117. Note that this is a different citation, but the actual page says p 377 across the top. The first three are on one page, the fourth on the second page. I don't seem to be able to get the page to print to pdf (that's how I save these days) and still get all the information. The bottom is cut off the page. Maybe someone else is running different software that Ancestry likes better? Thanks Juanita, Pat and Marilyn for your help with this. I did not know this was available at family search so will poke around there today some. The hardest census pages to recover are going to be the ones from the UK on another family line. From now on it will be back up, back up, back up!!!!
