But, I'm curious -- why would the gov't "remove" names from the SSDI? Pat I have asked that question on this list and other lists but no one ever came back with an answer. I think Tom Kemp did one time say that names already there would not be removed. I could be wrong but I remember someone saying that. Once again I would say at least have a membership at either or both Ancestry and Genealogy; that way you can use their SSDI records. I am not saying a paid subscription just a membership. I am unsure how many sites I have a signin ability but not a subscription.
