My computer used to hybrinate (?sp) but has stopped doing so. Can someone tell me how to set it to do that again? Using XP. Thanks. Maxine
When you click to shut down do you get a screen with 3 option like ,,, standby ,,,restart,,,shut down,,,? If so hold down the shift key and see if the the one option changes to Hibernate. If not,,from the start panel select control panel, than performance and maintenance and than power options. You should be able to select hibernate from there. Thanks George, Am I calling it by the correct title? The screen used to go dark after a few minutes when not in use but now it does not do that. I guess we don't worry as much about burnt screen anymore..? I appreciate the reply (By the way, I lost my beloved fur baby. I medicated her around the clock for 10 months & 9 days) Maxine On 12/9/2011 7:02 PM, george wrote: > When you click to shut down do you get a screen with 3 option like ,,, > standby ,,,restart,,,shut down,,,?
