What records are you wanting. Check Footnote/Fold3 to see if they have the records you are wanting. A membership there is usually less expensive than ordering from NARA. You do not have to have a relationship to download the records there or someone else could check for you if you send the details. I would but I do not have a subscription at this time. Thanks Marilyn, Since he was killed in action I hoped there would be more information regarding his death; exactly where, name of battle he was in, and surely there was some sort of medal or award, letter from the President or War Department.
