Importing Windows Contacts into Thunderbird. I know this will seem like a lot to follow. The hardest bit is exporting the windows contacts, but it only has to be done once, right? First, export your contacts... 1. Open Windows Contacts. You do this by clicking the Start button , and then clicking your user name. 2. Type 'contact's in the address bar , and then press 'Enter 3. On the toolbar, click 'Export', and then click 'CSV (Comma Separated Values)'. 4. Click 'Export', click 'Browse' and select a folder where you want to save the file, and then click 'OK'. 5. A message will appears to say your file is saved, click 'OK', and then click 'Close'. Remember where you save the csv file. Now, import the contacts into thunderbird... 1.On the thunderbird top menu, Click 'Tools'. 2. Select 'Import' 3. Select 'Address Books' and click 'Next' 4. Select 'Text File' (csv), and click Next 5. When the file select window opens, select 'comma separated' at the bottom right. 6. Locate the address book (csv file) you saved and click open. You remembered where it was. didn't you? 7. Click 'Finish'. On 25/12/11 17:04, ETM wrote: > Les, off-list is nice but it is not kind to the > lurkers who are reluctant to post.
