I am having problems now with windows live mail it will not connect shows the 800 error. I really thank you for your help and I hope the other members of the board did not think I was taking up time that you could have been helping them. Just to keep other members up to date. Rudy installed Thunderbird successfully , but could not receive emails. It looks as though avast is blocking thunderbird. Rudy, Did you make any changes to Avast? If you did, that may be why you cannot connect. Try turning off the Avast firewall, just long enough to test.
