    3. You can get Outlook as a stand alone, apparently, but it isn't free by any means. (Not the same as Outlook Express or Windows Mail ). http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/ Connie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rudy" <ren85@comcast.net> To: gen-newbie@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, December 23, 2011 1:31:30 PM Subject: [GN] E Mail programs I am using windows 7 and IE 9 I am forced to use windows live mail which is terrible. 3. Use Thunderbird from Mozilla. It's a good application, and it's free. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ Installation is real easy too. 3. Yes, I agree with Les. Thunderbird is a good mail application and should not be ignored. I do want to caution that Outlook is NOT that much like Outlook EXPRESS which people have used in the past. Why Microsoft decided to drop the free program is beyond me, but it did, and people will have to look for alternatives.
