Rootsweb does not pass through attachments as a safety feature to protect subscribers. Send your attachments directly to the person requesting it. You might want to use the list to notify that the item will be sent directly to the poster. Most can locate the address of the poster by doing a reply all rather than a reply. The list uses a prepend and addresses the list as default rather than the poster AND the list. These functions were directly requested by majority of the subscribers. Elaine
