    3. The list has been on relaxed rules for a week. I too miss the chit-chat of past years. We lost some people who have gone to a better place but there should be some newcomers to pick up the slack. I watched the Papal Mass last night and it was a good start to my Christmas which will include some long distance calls among family, son has already called from work to make sure I heard a Merry Christmas from him early by telephone. I ate a very late ham omelet and now wonder if I can eat a big meal. I was planning a non-traditional meal since it was only for my pleasure, but my pleasure may be not cooking today. The omelet hit the spot and there's no room right now for more food except for the coffee with cookies right now. My two Chihuahua watchdogs have told me every time a stranger has walked the floor of this high rise condominium. They will have sore throats by tonight. We attempted a reading of Luke on another list and only two of us have participated. Disappointing for that list. We made it to 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. http://christ-images.artistwebsites.com/featured/the-holy-night-carlo-maratta.html The list is in relaxed state until January 2. Stand at Ease, Parade Rest. Enjoy your community. XO Elaine > Remember the good 'ol days when we > reminisced-told stories-shared recipes and > stuff? Well what happened this year! 3. I vividly recall the year I absolutely, positively heard hooves on the roof of our home. I was probably five or six years old and unaware of my congenital nerve deafness. I couldn't possibly really have heard the prancing of reindeer without the wonderful hearing aids I now own! Isn't childhood imagination a grand thing indeed! We didn't receive the many gifts children get today, but I remember the year I got my Sparkle Plenty doll. Remember Sparkle Plenty, daughter of BO and Gertie? She must have been my very last Christmas doll because I was nine years old in 1947 when Sparkle made her appearance! Imagine a nine year old girl being happy with the gift of a doll today! I hope everyone is enjoying this day after Christmas.
