    1. [GN] Combining FMT files

    3. I had the great idea of making a separate tree for me and my husbands family Plus one for maternal and fraternal. Not the smartest idea I ever had!! IS there a way to combine them all in one large file if so how????  I have FMT 2005 thanks to a lovely lady here on this list.  THANKS hoping someone can help make one big file or 2 one for him one for me.     3. I don't use FMT myself, so I could be wrong, but I think there is a merge option in the file menu.     3. There is a merge in FMT. BUT I made 2 separate trees and it want merge them only the duplicate names in that tree.I made one for my parents and one for my husbands parents only to discover the area was  so close our families married into some of the same families and trying to keep up with 4 trees is very hard.     3. I read the FTM instruction for merging, and the merge options are much the same as other gen apps. The the 'duplicate name merge' is just one of the options. Choose the option to merge a file, and you will be able to 'Include all individuals' from the file.
