    3. Juanita, The answer to your question 'Why did it appear?' . There is a feature in XP where you can drag a folder off the edge of the screen, and it will create a new Toolbar. I have seen it happen a few times where someone did this by accident, and I guess that is what you did. If you do it with 'My Computer', you will get a nice convenient toolbar of everything in 'My Computer' You can do it on all edges of the screen. The toolbars can be set to auto hide.
