FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND A LOT OF INFORMATION OF FAMILIES FROM IRELAND WERE DESTROYED AND THAT GOES FOR LOUISIANA GENEALOGY. I HAVE A LIBRARY CARD AND RESEARCH FROM THERE GENEALOGY FILES. I HAVE FOUND INFORMATION, BUT A LOT WAS LOSE IN A FIRE IN LOUISIANA I WOULD LIKE TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR FAMILY DEVIN GENEALOGY, SINCE I DON'T KNOW THE STATE YOUR GRANDFATHER LIVED IN OR HIS FATHER NAME AND HIS MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME. SLIGO IS IN NORTHERN IRELAND. PULL UP MAP OF NORTHERN IRELAND AND YOU WILL SEE SLIGO. Sligo is not in Northern Ireland. I live in the Republic about 5 miles from the Mayo/Sligo border.
