I can access email just fine, but when I tried to reach internet via Firefox (I then disconnected it) and next Internet Explorer, what pops up is cannont connect XPCOM. I have Vista. If so, just search on XPCOM Here is the answer from a Mozilla site and you might be able to just do a complete uninstall of Firefox and then a download and reinstall. Not sure what you have just under the address box, but it might be a toolbar that I do not have. Here is what I do, though -- If I know the first letter of the name of the site, I just go to the address box and put in the first letter. I have four Lenovo laptops - X61S, W500,T400 all running XP and X201 running windows 7. How do I find out if these can all be upgraded to Windows 8.? Any help greatly appreciated. Th blocker for popups does not work well in firfox , especially with sites like ebay. Internet Explorer does a much better job. Firefox on Linux works perfectly, however for a number of reasons I have migrated back to Microsoft. Regards Peter Goggin
