I found it by just going to Google and entering -----Wheeldon murders Detroit. On 11/4/2011 1:43 PM, Fred Powell, Sr. wrote Elaine, this is precisely the type of searching I wish to learn. How did you know where to find the newspaper? I notice the web page is newspaperarchive.com. Maybe I will just type that in and see what happens. Thanks for the hint. I need help understanding the newer video cameras, if the thread can be allowed?? I need to get one for my daughter to take on a vacation soon, and just when I thought I was getting somewhere I read that the type of file the one(s) I was looking at are a big hassle and not easy at all to do anything with (proprietory mbt file extension, .mbt). I was specifically looking at the COSTCO website and the specific camera's description said it was easy to put on Facebook, Youtube, plus we want to put clips on DVDs, and play directly on the computer or TV. I know we need an HDMI hookup, and USB, but it's the type of files now that I'm confused about. So, if .mbt s are so difficult, how can the description say it's easy to do those things. :( What other file extentions are there, and which ones are best? I've only looked at Costco and Walmart. And the only thing we thought we'd decided on so far was wanting one of the 'barrel' shaped ones as opposed to the rectangular sort of flat ones. melissa
George is the father per an article at http://www.newspaperarchive.com/SiteMap/FreePdfPreview.aspx?img=129537150 Elaine I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. Found at Newspaper archives Lebanon Daily News and the Lebanon Daily Times Lebanon Pa Saturaday Evening June 8 1957 Front page Mother Kills Her Three Children; Tries Suicide DETROIT (UP)-A D e t r o i t mother killed her three young children today, drowning two of them in a bathtub and suffocating, the third. Police said the woman, Constance Wheeldon, 29, tried to take her own life by turning on the jets of a gas stove and a furnace after she called headquarters to report "I just killed my three children." The bodies of James, 4, and Deborah, 18 months, were found floating face down in the bathtub and the body of Diane, 6 months, was found on the floor of a bedroom when police broke into the Wheeldon's fashionable home in Detroit's northwest section. Mrs. Wheeldon collapsed when police arrived. Police said the woman's husband, George, a truck driver, was on the road at the time of the slayings. Mrs. Wheeldon gave no motive for murdering her children, according to police. Police said she apparently turned on the gas jets after making the call to headquarters. The front screen door was locked when police arrived. Mrs. Wheeldon tried to answer their knock at the door but collapsed before she reached the door. Police had to break into the house. They carried Mrs. Wheeldon out to the front lawn and then went back inside where they found the bodies of the children Hope this helps. Sharon

I have two great uncles who were Anglican bishops in England. I would like to learn more about them, such as where they are buried, obtain a picture of their gravestone inscription if possible and find their sermons so I can read them, particularly those belonging to Ernest. Here is what I know with links to their Wikipedia pages: Ernest Harold Pearce, DD, CBE, TD DOB July 23, 1865 DOD October 28, 1930 Bishop of Worcester 1919 until death http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Harold_Pearce Edmund Courtenay Pearce DOB December 17, 1870 DOD 1935 Bishop of Derby 1927-1935 (death) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmund_Pearce Many thanks. Hi, Folks, I've been trying to track down the people in that wedding photo my relative in Norway sent me. My letters to Tate Stillwell and the City of New Ulm had been forwarded to the Brown County Historical Society for an answer. I got a reply from Darla Gebhard of the BCHS - Her note was as follows: They had a Johannes Moe family file that contains a photo of Paul Moe. They sent me a copy!!!! She said he looks very much like the wedding photo that you sent to Mr Tate Stillwell. And she said the J Moe family was from Hanska, MN. (which I did know) It does -to me- look very like the same young man as in the wedding photo! It's a photo of a young man in a (possibly) army dress uniform. The jacket is darker, has a belt at the waist, 2 rows of buttons down the front and one of those stand-up collars. There was a white "shirt" peeking out from behind the stand-up collar. The pants were lighter color and had the darker color stripe down the outside of the pants-leg. The hat almost looks like an English Bobby's hat. It was darker, like the jacket, had what looks to be an eagle on the front of it. It had a little "poker-like" thing sticking up from the top. There was a "belt" around the bottom-looks like it ran thru belt loops, and the brim under that. Thanks to all who came up with suggestions on where I might write to, to get info! I did ask Darla if I could get a copy of the Johannes Moe family file, and told her I would gladly pay all expenses involved. She is such a nice lady. And so Willing to help!! I am about over the moon! I never knew Grandpa Paul, he died many years before I was born. And I've not seen many photos of him, either. Sorry to be so long!! Shalom, NancyT

Hi Woody I heard about this in the 90's; I have an interest in Neolithic Europe and it's sites. Been lucky enough to visit alot of them in Britain and France. These people were hunters; pre-agrarian culture so not farmers. This megalithic site has intimated that the inhabitants were asking the same questions we humans ask today "Who are we?" "Why are we here?" and "What does it all mean" Thanks for posting this and reminding me of it. I will go and update myself on the excavation. Elaine and Woody, sincere thanks for your help. A child became too preoccupied with FB and our requests to have the account closed were not answered; no response at all. The message received after following your instructions tells the account may be reactivated within a two week period, but failure to reactivate will permanently remove all traces of the account. We are grateful to both of you for your time and your help Fred, Sr. P.S. Google searching is a painful ordeal for me, but I am getting there. Another time I will ask for instructions using keywords on historical sites of interest. Gobekli Tepe The structures on this site were built about 12,000 years ago (10,000 BC) and intentionally buried with sand about 8,000 years ago. No one knows who these people were, what the massive buildings were for, or why they were buried. Just for reference, these massive structures were built during the last ice age and are more than 7,000 years older than any other structure we have yet discovered on our planet. After 13 years of work, only an estimated 5% has been uncovered. See: http://wimp.com/unexplainedstructure/ The information in this video has a profound impact on our knowledge of history. I haven't encountered anyone who has heard of this. Despite the lack of public awareness of this ruin, one can find much coverage on this by Googling. Wikipedia covers it well. Woody
