    3. Also, in Tennessee, the Tennessee Valley Authority did something similar. We traveled through the area years ago and heard stories that the submerged towns were a skin divers dream. I would LOVE to see any video of these towns from the viewpoint of a skin diver. Shari

    3. I could wish that among those tombstones at the location near Dallas would be one that was readable and it would be my great grandfather. The only thing I know was that he died abt 1896 in the vicinity of Dallas, Texas. Many here in Eastern Tennessee and Kentucky deal with places from the past that have been lost due to the placement of various dams. Some due to TVA and to other projects to produce electricity. While listings were supposed to have been made of those in cemeteries that were moved it is hard to find the listings. These are just one more stumbling block in our searches. 3. This is a very interesting piece. I'm glad to see some historical groups are studying the area and that plans are to relocate the graves. . . even those that are unidentified (most of them). In genealogy this presents an interesting opportunity to do some research on the towns that were covered up in the 1930's since there should be some good records existing about these areas (census for example). Thanks for pointing out this piece. I heard it mentioned on public radio this and wanted to learn more. 3. Subject: External hard drive not recognized by computer I have a Samsung ATA external hard drive on which once a month I back up my files. My computer is not recognizing the external hard drive. I have plugged, and replugged. When I plug it up, I get a message "Installing device driver software" then a msg that the device is ready to use. However, the Generic Drive X which is the hard drive is not recognized but F which is a removable disk in disk drive. There is no way that I can bring up the external hard drive. I have always very careful to unplug as directed. I went into Control Panel and under Disk Drives both a Generic External USB Device is listed as well as a Samsung ATA. Both say they are working properly. However when I try to bring up the "volume" in either, it reflects nothing as though there is nothing on the drive, or else it is not being recognized. Can anyone help? Wanda
